On Thursday, Feb. 2nd, I went by the house to see that the whole roof had tar paper, even the garage. They also had delivered our siding and there was a trench for electric. Now there was only one problem we found out that they weren't able to get the brick we picked out for the house on the Monday the 30th, and we hadn't picked out our new brick color. Now with siding sitting in our garage I was worried the new brick color wouldn't match.

On Friday, 3rd, we went by the model home to pick out our new brick color. I was under the impression that they would have the brick samples but they only had one and of course we didn't like it. So we drove around the neighborhood and looked brick colors, of course we found one but when I called to see if it available it was the same brick we had already picked out. I had to get back to work so we decided to deal with it later and wrote down another address to call about later. On a good note it was great to see people on our roof finally getting it roofed!! After work I went by the house again to see the progress on the roof, and they got about 3/4 done that day. I drove around to the back house only to find that siding was on the house. Talk about bitter sweet, while I loved seeing progress I was freaking out that the new brick might not match the siding.

Saturday morning, 4th, I called the design center soon as they opened to find out about the brick. They had it available but we had to go down to make sure that it was the right brick. Since it is possible that there was a late change and paperwork was wrong. So we got ready and drove down to check out the brick. The brick matched and looked good with our siding and trim colors :) This was a huge relief! Here is the new brick!
After going to the design center we drove up to Menards to look at ceiling fans and check the place out. Wow that is a huge store, they have a little bit of everything!! Since our house is about 10-15 minutes away from the store we figured we swing by. Just a few changes the big one was that our house passed the electrical inspection. They had also done some additional framing in the "man cave."
garage door :)
They are supposed to order the brick on Monday and hopefully we will hear about a pre-drywall meeting before too long! I am just excited to find out a close date for the house.
