It's Offical

I feel like I have been in school for all my life, and after about 20 years of education I finally have a Master's Degree. I don't think I would have ever made it without the love and support of friends and family. There were many nights when I thought I wouldn't make it, and I just wanted to change my major. I am so glad that I stuck it out. I can now sign everything Amy D. M.Ed. CF-SLP until I complete my clinician fellowship. This is when I am paid and licensed, but I still have a supervisor that checks on me every now and then so I have some support as a new clinician. We are expected to function pretty independently though. At the end of the those 9 months I receive my "C's" (Certificate of Clinician Competence)  and can then practice independently.

Now I have the next month to enjoy before I start my first "real" job. I am excited and nervous about starting a real job and have my own patients to care for.
